Carl Bach is currently Head of International at The Hartford and CEO of The Harford’s Lloyd’s Syndicate 1221.

Prior to this role in January 2016, he was President of NavPro Europe which was the international division of NavPro, which underwrote a broad suite of professional liability products, including Director & Officer Liability, Professional Indemnity, Commercial Crime, and Fiduciary.

Carl joined The Hartford/Navigators Group, Inc. in January 2009 from AIG Cat Excess where he was the Managing Director of the London Branch, responsible for the Excess International Management Liability and Excess Liability operations.

Prior to this, he held the position of Financial Lines Manager in Europe for five years. Carl began his career in 1997 with Reliance National as a D&O Underwriter in New York.

Carl holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the George Washington University and a Masters in International Management from Thunderbird, School of Global Management.
