The Access Project
The Access Project – access to rewarding careers
The Access Project helps high potential teenagers from disadvantaged backgrounds to win places at top universities, so they can access a range of more rewarding careers.
IICF awarded a grant to The Access Project to support their work helping to reduce the digital divide, made worse by the covid pandemic. The grant helped fund a pilot project to offer on-line group tuition for 100 A-level students as the jump from GCSE to A-level is a challenging one. The funds also helped to ensure students had all they need to access their online tutorials–to voice ideas and questions and ultimately build their confidence.
“I got into the university of my dreams. The first thing I wanted to do was to let my tutor know that all the hours of stress, hard work and dedication on both our parts had paid off and my university journey had finally begun.” Mary, The Access Project participant
