IICF Supporters Give Back in the Community

11th May 2026

March saw colleagues and community members across the insurance sector come together to support charitable initiatives and inspire the next generation of talent through a series of community-focused events led by IICF supporters.

On 6 March, AXA XL hosted an Insurance Career Event for 60 students from partner schools and charities including Making The Leap, Tutors United and The Girls’ Network.

The event introduced students to the wide range of opportunities available within the insurance industry, while also providing practical insight into how the sector operates. Six insurance leaders from areas including technology, strategy, claims and underwriting shared their career journeys, experiences and advice during interactive sessions.

While some students were keen to learn about routes into insurance careers, many were eager to better understand the industry itself, asking questions such as how claims are assessed and how underwriters evaluate different types of risk.

Alongside AXA XL colleagues, 20 volunteers supported workshop activities that guided students through the underwriting process and demonstrated how claims are managed across different lines of business. The day concluded with career signposting and informal networking opportunities, giving students the chance to connect directly with professionals working in the industry.

Elsewhere, teams at Kennedys marked International Women’s Day throughout March by supporting a range of community initiatives across the globe.

In London, Kennedys employees donated goods and volunteered with Women’s Inclusive Team in East London, assisting with the organisation’s community kitchen initiative, which supports women and families in the local area.

The activities reflect the ongoing commitment of IICF supporters to strengthening communities through volunteering, education and charitable partnerships.
