Hundreds participate in Week of Giving 2024

IICF’s Week of Giving is a powerful example of the difference we can make in our local communities by coming together as an industry. This year was no exception with hundreds of industry volunteers participating from  Weightmans, AIG, Costero Brokers Ltd., K2International, Axco Insurance Information, Canopius Group, Kennedys, Vitesse PSP Limited, BHSI, MedPro and many more.

Week of Giving took place in 2024 from 12 – 19 October and was an opportunity to come together with insurance professionals across the UK to support outstanding local non-profits through volunteer service and personal giving. 

Volunteers chose from a variety of virtual and community-based projects from collecting and sorting food for families in need with St Giles, the Trussell Trust and Whitechapel Mission to picking apples for The Felix Project to reduce food waste. Participants also joined a ‘mapathon’ to complete digital maps for humanitarian relief efforts and helped out with maintenance and conservation work at city farms and county parks.

“We had a really enjoyable and fulfilling day helping clear a large area at the park of invasive weeds and destructive plants. It was great team building and everyone was keen to do it again!” Week of Giving 2024 participant.
