Highlighting the work of Coram Beanstalk

IICF UK is celebrating 5 years of impact! Each month, IICF UK will be highlighting one of our grant recipients and sharing information on their work. Together, we can make a difference!
This October, we are celebrating Coram Beanstalk, a national reading charity that supports children who have fallen behind with their reading. Their vision is to be supporting 14,600 vulnerable children by 2020/21 by recruiting, training and supporting more volunteers in the community to enable them to help improve children’s reading skills.
IICF granted funds to Coram Beanstalk for three years; allowing the charity to access new schools in North West England and to train 300 new Reading Helpers to lead 1:1 sessions with over 500 children, helping them to learn to read, grow and succeed.
