£115K raised at IICF’s Gala Dinner

30th October 2024

Held in the magnificent surroundings of Drapers’ Hall, this special evening brought together nearly 200 industry colleagues to recognise and celebrate the industry’s collective community impact, who helped us raise £115,000 for IICF’s community grants programme. Following time to network with friends and colleagues, Dawn Miller, Chief Commercial Officer of Lloyd’s and CEO of Lloyd’s Americas & Chair of the Board of Directors, IICF UK, welcomed everyone to the event.

Presenting speaker, Philip McGriskin, CEO of Vitesse, reminded us that we could have easily chosen a different path in life and encouraged us to use our privilege to give back since we don’t know when we’ll need support. Later in the evening Elisabeth Paulsen, CEO of Envision, described soft skills as the missing piece of social mobility and shared the work of Envision, a charity helping young people to build essential skills by designing a social action project for their community.

Congratulations to Ben Gedye at KS2 International and Julie Rodrigues at Sidley, recipients of this year’s Above & Beyond Awards for their outstanding contribution to the IICF Associate Board and the communities around us.

Special thanks to our sponsors Vitesse PSP, The Hartford, AXAXL andMedPro, and to everyone who joined us for this special and memorable occasion. IICF believe the industry can be a united force for good and last night certainly demonstrated what we can achieve by coming together to continue supporting fantastic causes and charities.
