While the E has typically captured the headlines, the S is less well understood in the context of ESG and is only starting to grow in prominence as part of company’s ESG agenda. There is now a pressing need to view environmental and social challenges as interconnected, rather than separate. But ultimately it’s not about the E or S: it’s about the E and S combined with the G. ESG is about making a difference for our business and the world around us – reducing risks, improving well-being, and building more resilient communities.
