ESG Breakfast Briefing – Autumn 2024
21 November 2024, 08:30–10:00
The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) is collaborating with RNIB to equip companies in insurance with the knowledge and tools to create inclusive career journeys
for people with sight loss as part of their DEI and social impact strategies.
What is the premise of the event?
Did you know that more than 2 million people in the UK are living with sight loss, with only 1 in 4 blind and partially sighted people of working age in employment?
At the same time, IICF believes that the insurance industry can be a united force for good. We are helping to improve social mobility and inclusion through our community grants programme as well as a new collaboration that connects our corporate and charity supporters to overcome barriers and develop career pathways in the insurance industry to give people with sight loss the independence and meaning that employment brings.
We’ve achieved many things in the first six months, and we want to share these with industry leaders. We also want to announce future plans and capture your ideas to ensure that we develop a relevant, impactful programme that aligns to existing company strategies.
IICF runs an ESG Breakfast Briefing series to bring industry leaders together to hear inspirational speakers, network, and exchange ideas on specific topics of social impact within the broader them of ESG. Our collaboration on sight loss is the focus of our next event on 21st November.
